1619 Project: A Communal Year of Learning
Using The New York Times 1619 Project as a launching point, this is the first in a series of community-wide discussions. It is hoped that the discussion of reparations, school integration, the criminal justice system, the distribution of political power, the arts, and other issues can lead us to understand and work to correct the inequities found in our nation’s history. Co-sponsored by the Community Coalition on Race, SOMA Action and Maplewood Library.
